When presented with the opportunity to document "my" culture, I took this as a chance to do some research into my own roots tied in with the small bustling Liverpool town - Bootle. This zine is a celebration of culture, I tied the pages together through a red and cream colour theme and black & white imagery. I use bold and large text to title articles, and had some fun with the balance of text in relation to the images. The zine is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter).
As the zine is a personal and specific documentation of my culture, I decided to use a picture of my grandparents on their wedding day as part of the cover. The zine as a whole encompasses my experiences growing up in a working-class environment and a large part of that is the togetherness and cohesiveness of family.
